PORTAL’s 5000 square foot event venue’s capacity is 400 standing and 175 sitting.

ARTPORTAL’s gallery space’s capacity is 75 people standing, cocktail style.

The venue will be reserved for only one event per date, unless otherwise specified.

We are available to provide a list of preferred caterers and local food trucks and provide an isolated prep area for caterers to utilize with a sink and a microwave. We require all caterers to be approved by event manager and a 20% facility fee on catering will be added. At PORTAL, we firmly believe in giving you the freedom to select all of your own vendors, if that is convenient for you. If you decide to select your own personal caterer you are required to pay our outside vendors fee.

No outside alcohol is allowed, we are happy to discuss all bar packages with you.

Open flames are strictly prohibited, you are welcome to use LED or Flameless lighting.

Our courtyard is available as a designed smoking area, no smoking of any kind is allowed on premise.

If you cancel your event, your deposit WILL NOT be returned. You are welcome to choose another date if available, but will be charged a fee to do so. PORTAL is understanding when dealing with unforeseen circumstance and will use its judgement and handle each case as we see fit. All cancellations must be submitted in writing, or in person. You may not cancel over the phone or via voicemail.

Just one, nothing permanent. You are welcome to decorate the events space to fit your needs with any decorations that can be removed, without any harm to the venue. No nails, staples, tapes or glues that leave a sticky residue. All decor should be approved by event manager.

We are an ADA approved facility with spacious accessible restrooms. Fenced in parking and ramp access is right outside the venue in a fenced in parking lot.

Fenced in, private parking is located at 1535 Lytle Street Louisville, Kentucky 40203. There is also ample street parking on Portland Avenue, Lytle Street and the surrounding areas.

All items brought in by you, your vendors, or your guests will need to be removed from the venue. All of the tables should be cleared, with only the linens remaining. The kitchen and bar should be free of food and beverages and wiped down. After all of the trash is gathered, the trash bags should be placed in the dumpster provided on the property.

No, we do not allow onsite cooking, unless done by a licensed vendor/food truck. All food needs to arrive fully cooked and ready to serve, we do not have a full kitchen in house.

PORTAL will provide security. Security is dependent on your event type, size and style. Security will be line itemed in your event proposal.

PORTAL provides basic clean-up of the venue prior to the event. Trash monitoring, bathroom attendants and a venue supervisor will also be provided during the hours of the event.

Yes, we provide basic WI-FI- password will be given upon request.

Yes, however it is highly recommended that clients select a caterer from our Preferred Vendors list. This list is comprised of caterers who have an established relationship with PORTAL, are familiar with the facilities and the required rules and regulations, respects PORTAL’s mission and have excellent reputations. If there will be alcohol served at your event, an alcohol catering permit must be completed, approved and submitted to Management at least 5 days prior to your eve.
